Butcher Burns Team Member Profile: Michael Slater - Solicitor (Retired)

Michael was awarded an Honours Degree in Law in 1987 and passed the Law Society Final Examination in 1988. Michael has advised clients in both private practice as a commercial solicitor and more recently as a legal consultant to a number of companies and investment groups.

A former partner of the firm and now non-practicing consultant, Michael is the in-house legal consultant and financial controller of a Swiss based investment group. In this role and in other similar roles Michael works closely with clients in the property, construction, vehicle rental, marketing and promotions sectors.

Michael's experience sitting on the boards of a number of companies (including an AIM-listed company) and their audit and remuneration committees gives him a real insight into the operation of clients' businesses and makes him a valuable asset of the firm.
