Lucy Thomas

Lucy joined the firm in December 2005 having previously worked in a large West End practice and a City firm.
Lucy has over 17 years experience in advising on a wide range of property litigation matters having acted for companies, investors, local authorities and private individuals. She has acted for landlords and tenants in both the commercial and residential sectors. This has included advice on the following:
Wide variety of Landlord and Tenant litigation including:
- Possession actions;
- Forfeiture claims;
- Rent and service charge disputes;
- Enforcement of covenants in leases including dilapidations and disrepair;
- Rent reviews;
- Contested applications to assign / underlet / carry out alterations;
- Business lease renewals;
- Removal of trespassers and squatters; and
- Lease extensions, enfranchisement and freehold purchases.
General Property Litigation including:
- Boundary disputes;
- Party Wall disputes;
- Adverse possession claims;
- Applications for injunctions and specific performance; and
- Property related insolvency issues.
In addition, Lucy also acts for clients in relation to alcohol and entertainment licensing issues. This includes all manner of applications in relation to the licence itself and advice in relation to property and business sales where the licence is to be transferred as part of the transaction.
Lucy is a member of the Property Litigation Association.
Lucy is currently on maternity leave.
