Lee Donoghue

Solicitor

Lee qualified as a solicitor in 2006, having trained at a mid-sized, Legal 500 listed firm based in the West End.

He joined the dispute resolution team at the firm in 2007 and has since been involved in a diverse range of contentious matters, with particular focus on commercial and insolvency disputes, including:

  • a successful appeal to the House of Lords regarding the question of a commercial tenant's right to enfranchise;
  • a successful application to the Court of Appeal for judicial review of a Magistrate's conviction of a client for corporate offences;
  • an appeal to the Court of Appeal of Anguilla in relation to a dispute as to the historic ownership of land;
  • a complex partnership account enquiry before a Master in the High Court;
  • defence of a minority shareholders' petition in the High Court involving allegations of unfair prejudice by the actions of the majority shareholders
  • high value commercial litigation in the High Court involving questions of contractual interpretation; and
  • bringing and defending proceedings in the court's bankruptcy jurisdiction under Section 339 of the Insolvency Act 1986 in respect of transactions at undervalue.


Lee also offers a wide range of advice to insolvency practitioners, creditors and debtors and has experience of various commercial disputes in the county courts.
