Latest Legal News - Stamp duty (SDLT) rate rise warning! (February 2011)
The rate on non-rent considerations over £1m increases from 4% to 5% from 6 April 2011.
The current rates are 0% to £125,000; 1% from £125,001 to £250,000; 3% from £250,001 to £500,000; 4% over £500,000; and from 6 April 2011, 5% over £1m.
