Latest Legal News - Companies Act 2006 Update (September 2010)

On the 30th September 2010 the use of sole corporate directors will be abolished. Any company without a 'natural person' acting as a director will be in default and could face fines from Companies House or possible sanctions from the Secretary of State.  This also applies to companies with a secretary as a natural person and a corporate director, as they will also be in breach of the legislation

Under the new legislation this requirement is satisfied if the directorship is held by a natural person as a representative of a corporation or by virtue of an office.
