Latest Legal News - Butcher Burns LLP advise new owners on acquisition of Charlton Athletic Football Club (January 2011)
Whilst the Christmas period may have been quiet for most firms, the commercial team at Butcher Burns LLP had a busy fixture list advising their clients, CAFC Holdings Limited, on the acquisition of Charlton Athletic Football Club which completed on 31st December 2010.
Retained at the end of November 2010, the commercial and property teams of Butcher Burns LLP (headed by Peter Levinger and Sacha Rifkin respectively) advised on various aspects of the transaction including due diligence, Football League consents and finance.
With football fixtures coming thick and fast throughout the festive period, Claire Rollo and Tim Glasby from the firm's commercial department continued to work tirelessly through to New Year's Eve to ensure that their clients could start 2011 in charge and start a new era for the South East London Club.
